The
name Henle is synonymous with the highest standards of music publishing.
Since the company's foundation in 1948 by Günter Henle, Henle Urtext Editions
have rapidly established themselves as a standard of quality throughout
the world. Urtext Editions are the result of painstaking research and
careful scrutiny of all sources. Having established a musical text as
faithful as possible to the composer's original intentions, the works
are then sent to some of the world's most eminent teachers and interpreters
to add the fingerings and bowing marks necessary for practical music performance,
all markings have been clearly identified as editorial editions. To the
present day, these editions are hand-engraved, printed on special bond
ivory paper, with professional binding, prepared to stay open on the music
stand for ease and enjoyment of reading. Underway for some time now, the
Urtext of the new Beethoven Complete Edition is providing highly
researched critical editions of score and parts for all of Beethoven's
works, most recently, the long awaited Triple Concerto.
