| Description: The Spanish title for this Latin-American rhumba means a beautiful day. Although the piece begins in D minor, it changes to G major where the melody is shared by all instruments and ends in D major. Because a rhumba is a dance, rythmic movement is especially important. The rhythm in Bonita Dia is based upon even eighth notes. Much excitement may be added to the music by including optional percussion instruments. |
