| Description: This spooky and rhythmically energetic piece for grade 1+ orchestras in E minor features a chromatic alteration between C-natural and C-sharp to give students opportunities to develop their left-hand intonation. The piece combines arco and pizzicato, long and short bow strokes, bow lifts, and features a variety of dynamic contrasts. All sections of the orchestra have interesting melodic material. Viola is doubled with Violin 2 throughout, and Double Bass is doubled with Cello. |
