| Description: An original work which recalls a visit to the rugged islands off the coast of Scotland. The works begins with and introductory phrase of the Scottish folksong 'Over the Sea to Skye' in a rolling 6/8 meter with a Celtic dance feel. A slower theme takes on the character of a chorale, and the work reaches its conclusion as the two melodies are heard together, in both major and minor modes, ending in G Major. |
