| Description: Waly, Waly (aka The Water is Wide) is taken (with many liberties) from the setting by Cecil Sharp in the Novello’s School Songs published in 1908. Be sure to bring out the melodic lines, as they can easily get lost in the background. Dynamics throughout are important but should always follow the rise and fall of the melodic line. Blow Away the Morning Dew plays in a very light mood and bounces throughout. Keep it light and moving forward. |
